Kyrenia

June 24, 2016September 24, 2021 By annwebcom

Crossed the border into the Turkish Occupied Northern Cyprus and had time for a leisurely dinner before catching the overnight Ferry to Tasucu, Turkey.

We learned that the process for boarding a Turkish car-ferry is both time-consuming and confusing with no real process and a lot of jostling.  Several check points – police, customs etc., money to be paid at every step and a distinct lack of information.

Anyway we made it onto the ferry for a disturbed night and pretty rank conditions.  Ferry left nearly three hours late which meant our calculations for travel in our first day in Turkey would start late too.  Good job we allowed extra time.
